After completing a Bachelor in Life Sciences at the Hogeschool van Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Netherlands, Dr. Kemaladewi received her PhD in October 2012 from Leiden University, the Netherlands. From 2012 until 2018 she was a Research Associate at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada led by Prof. Dr. Ronald Cohn. Currently she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics (Div. of Medical Genetics) at the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
Dr. Dwi Kemaladewi has an extensive training in human genetics and the development of genetic therapy, with a focus on neuromuscular disorders. Her research focuses on the underlying molecular mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of muscular dystrophies, using cutting-edge genetic technologies to study and develop therapeutic interventions for rare pediatric diseases.
